Highest rated portable dishwasher: picks and buying tips

If you're shopping for the highest rated portable dishwasher, the star number alone won't settle it. Several rolling countertop models on Amazon sit at 4.4 stars, so this guide looks at review volume, size, fit and price tier to show which option suits which kitchen.

How we researched

We compared eight Amazon listings for portable and countertop dishwashers, plus retailer pages and roundups from the search results. Ratings, review counts, recent purchase counts and price tiers come from the Amazon listings as shown. Specifications come only from the excerpts we had, so where a spec is missing we say so. Nothing was tested hands-on. This guide compares products using manufacturer specifications, current Amazon listings and owner reviews; we did not test them hands-on.

Short answer

For most buyers, start with the EUHOMY Countertop Dishwasher Portable. It has 4.4 stars on Amazon from 1,000 ratings and is one of the most-bought listings in this set, with 900+ bought in the past month. If you live in a small apartment or cook for one or two, the NOVETE Portable Countertop Dishwasher for Small Apartments is the better alternative. It has 4.4 stars on Amazon from 2,500 ratings.

At-a-glance comparison

Buying criteria, in order of weight

1. Owner ratings and review volume. A 4.4 from 4,600 ratings tells you more than a 4.1 from 39.
2. Capacity and size. Homewise Appliance says some portable models hold up to 12 place settings, while mini and small models are built for lighter loads (Homewise Appliance).
3. Fit with your sink and space. Portable models roll into place and connect to a standard faucet, so check your faucet and the floor space you can spare.
4. Price tier. The listings in this set fall between $100–$300 and over $300.

How we chose

We weighted owner ratings and review counts most, then capacity and fit, then price tier. The evidence is Amazon listing data (ratings, review counts, purchase counts and tiers), specifications from the manufacturer-style pages in our excerpts, and one roundup from The Spruce for its own verdict. No hands-on testing was done for this guide. We will update it when listings, ratings or price tiers change.

EUHOMY Countertop Dishwasher Portable

This fits buyers who want the listing with the strongest recent sales in this set, 900+ bought in the past month, and a 4.4-star average on Amazon from 1,000 ratings. Sudsspot may earn a commission if you buy through the links in this article, and the price you pay doesn't change. You can check it on Amazon. The price tier is $100–$300.

The drawback is that our sources don't list its capacity or cycle count. Before you buy, check the listing for tank size and place settings against how many people you cook for.

NOVETE Portable Countertop Dishwashers for Small Apartments

This fits small apartments and households of one or two. Its listing is built around that use, and it has 4.4 stars on Amazon from 2,500 ratings. A retailer review excerpt says it's perfect for one or two people and can usually hold dishes and glassware from about two meals' worth of a small household (review excerpt). The price tier is $100–$300.

The drawback follows from that sizing. A household that cooks for more people will likely run it more often, so check whether that fits your routine.

Hermitlux Countertop Dishwasher

This fits buyers who put review volume first. It has 4.4 stars on Amazon from 4,600 ratings, the largest rating base among the listings here. The price tier is $100–$300, and you can see the listing on Amazon.

The drawback is that our material doesn't list its capacity, so confirm the tank size and place settings on the listing. A large rating count shows that many owners have bought and rated it, but it doesn't tell you how it cleans a heavy load.

How to choose

• If you live in a small apartment or cook for one or two, pick NOVETE for its size focus and 4.4-star rating on 2,500 ratings.
• If you want the most recent sales volume, pick EUHOMY.
• If you care most about review volume, pick Hermitlux.
• If you handle light loads and need the smallest footprint, the COMFEE' Portable Mini Dishwasher Countertop with 1.32Gal Built-in Water Tank is listed at 4 stars from 3,300 ratings in the $100–$300 tier. Its small tank is the main trade-off, so check it against your loads at Amazon.
• Skip the SD-9263SSC for now. It's an ENERGY STAR model, but its 4.1 stars come from only 39 ratings, which is too thin for a firm verdict.
• Expert roundups disagree on the top pick. The Spruce calls the Hava R01 the best countertop dishwasher it tested (The Spruce), but it isn't in our Amazon set, so we don't recommend it here. For price-band comparisons, see our top rated countertop dishwasher picks by price range.

FAQ

Can a portable dishwasher fit in a small kitchen?

Yes. Homewise Appliance describes small and mini models as designed for tight spaces without giving up cleaning power.

Do portable dishwashers need permanent installation?

No. They roll into place and connect to a standard faucet, and they can be rolled away when not in use. Check your own sink setup before you buy.

Is a 4.4-star rating enough to pick one?

Not on its own. Ratings with few reviews are weaker evidence, so look at the count next to the star average.

Conclusion

No single listing is clearly the highest rated portable dishwasher here, because several sit at 4.4 stars. Choose EUHOMY for the strongest recent sales, NOVETE for small apartments and Hermitlux for the largest rating base. Confirm capacity on each listing, since our sources don't list it for every model.
