Top Rated Portable Dishwasher: 3 Picks Compared

If you're shopping for a top rated portable dishwasher, the best choice depends less on the star rating than on how many people you cook for, how much water tank space you need, and whether you have a faucet nearby for the hookup. Portable models roll into place, connect to a standard faucet and tuck away when you're done, which makes them a practical fit for renters and small households. This guide compares three Amazon listings with strong ratings and sales, and it explains where the numbers stop.

How we researched

We reviewed eight search results on portable and countertop dishwashers, including a retailer category page and several buying roundups, and eight current Amazon listings with their star ratings, rating counts, sales figures and price tiers. Where we cite a specification, it comes from one of those pages or listings. We did not test any of these models in our own kitchen. This guide compares products using manufacturer specifications, current Amazon listings and owner reviews; we did not test them hands-on.

Short answer

For most one- or two-person households, start with the NOVETE Portable Countertop Dishwasher for small apartments. It has 4.4 stars from 2,500 ratings on Amazon, more than 300 units bought in the past month, and a $100–$300 price tier. Sudsspot may earn a commission if you buy through the links in this guide, and the price stays the same for you.

If you want a mini unit with a built-in water tank, look at the COMFEE Portable Mini Dishwasher. If you care most about sales volume and will check the specs yourself, the EUHOMY Countertop Dishwasher Portable is the alternative.

Buying criteria and how we chose

We weighted the criteria in this order:

1. Capacity fit: how many place settings or how much water tank space you need for your household.
2. Setup: a standard faucet connection and a spot on the counter that fits the unit.
3. Ratings with volume: a high score from a small sample counts for less than a good score from thousands of ratings.
4. Price tier: we use tiers only, since prices change.

Our evidence is verified specs from manufacturer and retailer pages and Amazon listing data, plus one roundup's opinion, which we label as that roundup's view. We claim no hands-on testing. We will update this guide when listings, ratings or price tiers change.

A note on ratings: one countertop model in the listings has 4.8 stars, but from only 79 ratings. A 4.4 from 4,600 ratings tells you more about what owners experience. Ratings also don't tell you capacity, so check that first.

NOVETE Portable Countertop Dishwasher: best for one or two people

This is the pick for a studio, a small apartment or a couple who wash a few plates a day. The NOVETE listing shows 4.4 stars from 2,500 ratings and 300+ bought last month. A search result describes the model as perfect for one or two people, which fits the capacity criterion for small households. The excerpt we have cuts off before the full capacity claim, so read the full listing before you buy.

Drawback: it is sized for small households. If you cook for a family, it will mean running it more often.

EUHOMY Countertop Dishwasher Portable: best for sales volume

The EUHOMY Countertop Dishwasher Portable has 4.4 stars from 1,000 ratings on Amazon and more than 900 units bought in the past month, the highest recent sales count among the top three. It sits in the $100–$300 tier. Our sources do not list its capacity or tank size, so we cannot say how many place settings it holds.

Drawback: the missing capacity spec. Before you buy, check the listing for place settings and tank size. If those numbers don't fit your household, the sales volume alone won't help.

COMFEE Portable Mini Dishwasher: best for a built-in tank

The COMFEE Portable Mini Dishwasher has a 1.32-gallon built-in water tank according to its listing, and it sits in the $100–$300 tier. Its listing shows 4 stars from 3,300 ratings and more than 500 units bought in the past month. One buying roundup in the results names a 5L COMFEE mini as its top overall pick for cleaning performance. That is that roundup's view, not something we verified. The 5L label and the 1.32-gallon tank size describe the same capacity, so they agree.

Drawback: the 4-star average is the lowest of the three, and with 3,300 ratings it is a solid sample. Read recent reviews for complaints about drying or cleaning before you commit.

How to choose

If you cook for one or two people, choose the NOVETE model. If you want a mini unit with a built-in tank, choose the COMFEE. If you care most about sales volume and will check the capacity spec yourself, choose the EUHOMY.

Skip portable models if you need a full-size setup. Homewise Appliance notes that some portable models hold up to 12 place settings, but only in select models, so check each listing's capacity before you assume it fits a large family. Portable units also rely on a faucet connection: Homewise says they connect to most kitchen sinks with minimal effort, but check your own faucet and your counter space before buying.

FAQ

Can a portable dishwasher fit in a small kitchen?

Yes. Homewise Appliance says small and mini models are designed for tight spaces. Measure your counter and the path to your faucet first.

Do portable dishwashers need permanent installation?

No. According to the same retailer, they connect to a standard faucet and can be rolled away when not in use.

Is the highest-rated model always the best pick?

Not necessarily. A high rating from a small sample, like the 4.8 from 79 ratings, is less reliable than a 4.4 from thousands of ratings. Capacity also matters more than stars for most households.

Final thoughts

For most small households, the NOVETE is the top pick, with the EUHOMY and COMFEE as alternatives depending on whether sales volume or a built-in tank matters more to you. Check capacity first, then faucet fit, then ratings. Compare the listings yourself before you buy, since prices and ratings change.
